well hello new forum partners. My name is Cliff and i am a Sr. LO for Carteret Mortgage located Maryland. i am able to originate in multible states accross the country. i got into the buisness a few years back because i got burnt and so did a few friends. I am a true believer in telling the truth so i dont have to remember what i said. i treat all my clients like i want to be treated. it must work because most of my buisness is referred to me. i want to make a difference with creative and honest financing. i am here to help everyone as i know everyone is here to help me as well. i look forward to future postings and conversations with all of you. i have a personal website aslo where people can get all kinds of market information. I would aslo like some feedback to the site as well if you dont mind. i am no web guru thats for sure but i want to make it easy for people to find there way around. you can find that in my signanture i believe. i am new to the forum world.

welcome. Glad to see someone from Carteret on board with the forums. I spoke with a gentleman from your company who uses goldcalling to get new clients. Its a voice broadcasting system. Do you use this program at all?

i am trying to get some of my co-workers to join also. i have not used that program. i get most of my leads from referral or friends right now. i am trying to promote my web site and make it lead generating. its a tough thing to do with all the competition on the web in our market. i wish i knew an easier way to get ranked.

I'm doing the same thing. I'm about to have mine built and then try to get it up. I've had a domain name for the last year that I've used for email and it is on the 2nd page of yahoo which is always nice. It'll be better once I get the site built and off the ground!
I've networked very well and get most of my business from referrals. I do need to work on a stragety to keep in touch with my clients a little better. I've just been so damn busy.

well being busy is a good thing. at the bottom of my web site is a link to a company that all they work with is the mortgage industry. they have many templates to use, and the prices are not bad when you figure in hosting. just make sure when you do a site you make it a static site and not framed. framed sites are not as search engine friendly and static. i will say i have learned a lot about the pages doing all this. it has been about a month now and i am getting some results so far. but i want to get to a point i have too many leads i need to sell some. :) check my site at formymortgageloan . com

yeah, its nice to be busy. I can always use more business though...haha. I'll actually have the company that owns this forum do my web page. I've gotten to know the owners a bit. They built my fiance's real estate site plus I've became pretty good friends with one of the owners. He's from Oregon (where I live/work) so I've had a chance to hang out with him. They are a great group and do a fantastic job.
They taught me a lot about how the internet and web sites work so I'm looking forward to it.
I agree, I'd like to have TOO MANY leads...but I think what I'd do is find someone to bring on as another LO and take a cut from him when I deliver the leads! :)

also,
I checked out your site. It looks good. I hope that its starting to generate you some good leads! Let me know if you need anyone to help you with your Oregon leads! I'm actually about to change brokers and work for a company who is licensed in 42 states. I'll have to see if you have some states that I won't have and vice versa..Maybe we could help each other out.

Thanks for compliment on the site. i just noticed they doweb sites here. see how i pay attention? i will have to look iton this also. i would gladly consider sending leads your way if i cant do them, and gladly accept them as well. Carteret actually works on a mentoring system, so i can bring people on under me and make some.

I can see you that you pay attention very well..haha...no worries, I do the same. I'm always open to the idea of networking so if I can't do something and vice versa. Do you get many leads coming in that are in a state you can't work in?
What kind of commission split does Carteret give you? Just curious.
