In the short time I've posted here in the forum I've received a few emails regarding the loan business in general. How's business? etc....

Working as a professional mortgage consultant definitely has it's up and downs just like any job. The most important factor is your motivation. Today, there are a lot of loan officers who've come to the business in the last couple of years who never got the proper training, lack the moral fiber, or flat out don't belong in this business. As things tighten up and more loan officers chase fewer and fewer deals - the need for real qualified professionals in this business have never been in greater demand. I know if sounds crazy or contradictory but it has it's truths.

If you are interested in becoming a loan professional, remember that this profession warrents and commands respect. Do your homework, become a student of the game, and always hold the needs of your client first. From there it's easy if you want it.

I couldn't have put it any better myself. Its not an easy business to be in but certainly can be worth it if you do it right. I for one love my job and enjoy what I do. You definitely need to be a student of the game. I'm always educating myself any way that I can as well as always marketing.
