I'm wondering if there are any companies that handle the PPC for you or if that is what a SEO company would do.

I understand the concept behind an SEO company but I don't exactly know how they work so to speak. Can someone explain things a little further?

There are ALOT of ppc management companies,so it's relatively easy to find one, it's finding the one that will maximize ROI at the LOWEST COST that is hard to find.

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, which is optimizing a site for better overall ranking in NATURAL(UNPAID) search results.

An SEO company acts as a consultant primarily, they tell you what to change on your site, will assist in building relationships with other web masters/web sites, and sometimes provide quality content for your website. They should additionally report at least once a month for the length of the contract. All of this is USUALLY based on keywords that you provide them, this is a bottom tier SEO expert(hired on contract).

You usually get what you pay for, the best I've seen, and know land huge clients are SEO, inc, Iprospect, beyondroi, and morevisibility.

These top companies go beyond the basic guys, by building hundreds of micro-sites, feeder sites, providing extensive reports on all keywords you rank for, competitor analysis, keyword suggestions, manage extremely aggressive link building campaigns, build buzz for you, and take care of basically every aspect of SEO.

hope this helped.

Very useful, thanks. Two questions:
1)what are micro-sites?

2)is there a way to hide SEO content in your site so that the search engines pick it up, but the web surfer doesn't actually see all of the SEO content.

Thanks
