Does anyone know of a way to find out the owner of a cell phone if you know their number? I see many sites for reverse lookups for cell phones but they charge almost 100 bucks. All of the free reverse phone number sites have a fee after you put in the phone number. Anywho.com or whitepages.com or any of that stuff does not work since you have to pay to get a report. Are there any ACTUAL free ones out there?

I've never seen any company that does that. Then again, I've never really searched for something like that. If you do come across it please post it on the site. I'd like to search my missed calls when they don't leave a message.

If you enter the phone number it will tell you the owner name/address.
Hope this is still good.

why don't you get someone to call the number and pretent to be looking for someone and in the process ask "to whom am i speaking"

We pay $.10 -$.25 per lookup from a company called TargusINFO. One of the lookup products we have is called data append and we can plug in a phone number and they tell us all the info about it. It isn't free, but it is free-er :) But you have to do serious volume with TargusINFO every month to even have an account. If you want I can run the reverse on it for you.

This is a bit on the sneaky side but you could use the old *67 trick. Call the cell phone but dial *67 before the telephone number. Your number will appear "blocked" on their caller id. This person will either answer, now listen to the voice closely and play detective, or this person will not answer and they hopefully have a voice mail box declaring their name. Hope that helps :)
