I did a post last week about a situation I had with a customer and having to fill out a form answering a bunch of questions about a loan I was offering them. I thought it would end badly but it didn't so I kept my mind open and dug a little further and found out that this company offerangel.com also has affiliate marketing and something called the offer challenge which is what I think I was, unknowingly, a part of. Just another resource and I have to say it did help me earn the trust of my customer. -don

I really don't care for that company...yes, they are probably doing a good service but I won't discount my services to win a client. I charge what I charge, if you don't like it then go to someone else. I'm worth X amount on each file no matter how small or how large and I won't change it. If someone is going to go back and forth to get people to lower their fees they aren't worth my time. You want me to charge half the price? Would you like me to put in half the work as well?

It is such a dog eat dog enviroment on the web... I agree with you Oregon, know your value and price and stick with it... and don't do family loans! JK.

Being a professional means you are providing a service at a cost. Unfortunately, lenders (not to offend anyone on this site) but lenders hire so many people to be mortgage "professionals" I use that term loosely and it's these call center lo's that are based on volume and get paid a third of what a broker makes that brings in the competitive discount shopping. I agree I won't charge less than what I am worth. I haven't heard of this company before what are they about? Under the lender link it looks like they are trying to stop the "competing cycle" so the customer doesn't keep going back and forth and getting caught in all the traps.

Well it's free so my branch manager is thinking of doing the affiliate program especially since I was able to get a deal from it and it seems that other than the professional associations there isn't really anything that is for consumers that we can use to get business.
