I have had my loan originators license for a little over 4 years. Unfortunatley I started this career path with 2 kids and a wife so I have not been able to go at it full time 2 many bills:).
However I have spent a lot of time reading and looking at opportunities that would allow me to utilize my knowledge of the mortgage industry and not be as time consuming as closing loans. As you all know it is very time consuming.
Well I think that I have found a way to gt on the path to a secondary income that would allow me to make it full time in the loan biz. It is offering debt settlement services to consumers.
This has proven to be fairly lucrative for a few associates of mine that have agreements with the owners of the companies they work for.It is a win win for everyone . They make up for turndowns by signing people up for the debt settlement.
I would like all feedback as to what other LOs fell about this practice.
