A broker price opinion is something that's commonly needed among other things as part of a financial package when a short sale or short payoff is being negotiated for a property. Some of the properties may be pre-foreclosures and others may be real estate owned (REO). I have been doing many BPO's it is another income stream. I'm a 1099 for about 15 companies, and get paid $40-$75 per BPO.
WWW.REOTRANS.COM (http://www.REOTRANS.COM) has a rating system, and once you reach that point instead of doing BPO's they call you up and ask you if you want the listing.. Ah yea I want the listing...
