This came from a good friend of mine. I wanted to get some input on your thoughts on this statement..

Here are some interesting problems we are facing with 2008.
-Falling Real Estate Prices
-Subprime Housing Mess
-Alt-A Mortgage Mess
-Sharply Rising Unemployment
-Rising Credit Card Defaults
-Commercial Real Estate Decline -Retail
-Falling U.S. Dollar
-Overheated China
-Slowing National Economy
-Slowing Global Economy
-Tapped Out Consumers
-Bank Problems (Solvency)
-Unwinding Yen
-Baby-Boomers Retiring
-Baby-Boomers with No Pension Funds
-Baby-Boomers with Bankrupt Pension Funds
-Rising Corporate Defaults
-Rising Mergers

These are some of the major challenges that the will affect the U.S. economy for the following year! If you want to add or ask questions in regards about them, I will answer them to the best of my ability.

Just something to keep in mind for the coming year!

For the people who have been trained in Reverse Mortgages, the idea of the baby-boomers is great! I am, quite honestly, looking forward to the influx of these referral clients (and I am watching out for regulation coming down from the senate since they met on Dec. 13th).

This one is the most disconcerting for me... Because I have so many US Dollars.

There are just a few concerns for us Americans for 2008...I suppose we'll have to see what happens... I definitely don't like the dollar weakening...haha

With all that negative stuff in our homeland going on...America is still the best place to live! It will get better...it always does!

ps. I cant imagine what it would feel like mentally to wonder if your pension is gonna be there after you have worked 20 or 30 years......

what about interest rates being HIGH and yes real estate is going down.

Where you "problems", I definitely see opportunities. Loads of them for this coming year.
