I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction...

My fiance's ex agreed to "buy him out" of his portion of the home they shared while married. They agreed on a date by which she needed to provide him with his funds. She has been dragging her heels and trying to be extremely difficult in getting this resolved. She has refused to give him any information regarding who the title company is for the mortgage she has had to take out on the property . My finace strongly suspects that she has already received the funding and is just holding out to be a pain. Our title company has looked at the county record for the property and says that a new title/lender has not recorded yet and that could take 30-45 days.

My question is: How can we legally go about finding the FUNDING date? Will the FUNDING date be listed on the documents when they record at the county?

Any help would be appreciated! :-)

county recorders office should have all the details of any transactions involving the property. funding dates will be similar to the recording date give or take a week. hope this helps. a demand letter from an attorney would help you. pm me for a cheap way to go!
